Brent Corrigan has left the building,,,,now will someone turn off the lights!

Hey Everyone! It’s really great to hear from all of you - even though hearing from me has been scarce.

Did I mention something about a DVD here? I just wanted to clarify these are older pictures. We took these back in October of 2006. These were taken for my first attempt at releasing a DVD. This attempt failed because very soon after this we entered into active settlement mode with the Cobra Video Civil Dispute. I’m working on things right now, but I’m not working on a DVD. I’m sorry, I’m just not yet ready for such an undertaking. I’ve got to go back and retrace my steps a little bit before I can continue further on this journey.

If you go back and look at the blog, between November and just about now I completely stopped talking about my negative experiences with Cobra Video. This was because we were all trying to show, in good faith, that we were sincere in our settlement efforts. One of the elements to the settlement was that we were not permitted to release DVD’s during settlement mode or until the settlement agreement was completed. This is the only reason why this initial DVD was never actually released, despite my work and time spent on it.

Little did we know that the only ones sincere in our efforts to settle were Grant and myself. I’m getting a little too detailed with that for now, so you’ll have to wait a while longer before I can provide a more clear idea of what all has gone on here on the home front.

I’m around, I’m kicking (hard) and I still have not given up. When I called myself determined, I meant it. I’m built for hard work and I intend to use that to my advantage. Furthermore, I’m not going to waste my determined and hard working nature any longer on projects related to thieves, if you catch my drift.

Brent Says: June 22nd, 2007 at 11:27 am

Just to keep the record straight, I have not yet been paid one cent for my work here on the blog, the scenes I have filmed that you enjoy in the Member’s Site, and any of the promo work I have done for this website and this company (LSG Media. LLC).

The only payment I have received has been from my fans and viewers here who have graciously, yet sporadically sent me donations.

Also, I no longer work actively here because of this reason, so if you have complaints about content or quality, you’ll have to take that up with Lee Bergeron and ‘Jeremy’.

Dewayne here, well there is a note of Finality for you. After a year and a half at Brent Corrigan Online this is how the star of the site is repaid for all his hard work! Paid Nada, Nothing, Zilch, Zippo! The majority owner of LSG Media has basically absconded with the Cash! $60,000 in member site revenue since February 1st 2007. Nothing distributed to Brent Corrigan or Grant Roy who own a 49% share at LSG. Brent Corrigan has not been paid for his Video work, Promotional work, Blog (the major site driver to BCO) or Public appearances on behalf of LSG. Indeed the principal asset at BCO has had to plead for donations!

Fans and Friends have been asking me for months should we subscribe to Brent Corrigan Online?

I think you have your answer. Straight from the Source! How can anyone support or subscribe to a site controlled by a man who has stolen (i.e. not paid) the sweat equity contributed by the sites Star! Merlin Lee Bergeron has once again proven how unethical and incompetent a businessman he is. How he can take a "sure thing" and squander this opportunity beggar’s belief! With a legal settlement and pent up demand for Brent Corrigan this site is an assured moneymaker but Mr.Bergeron seems to think otherwise. Indeed he seems to be in this for a fast payoff, hmm kind of like real estate!

BrentCorriganOnline and the Blog will go dark soon. As memberships are canceled and traffic to one of the most popular GayPorn sites on the Web evaporate, the plug must be pulled.

After all what use is Brent Corrigan Online when Brent Corrigan has left the building,,,,,,

NOTE: Fans, Friends & BCO Members check my Blog I will of course post any updates or news of Brent Corrigans future projects and site as SOON as I receive word,,From the Source! DewayneinSD

Revealing Brent Corrigan

Brent Corrigan interview at GayPress.com you can find the original on "About Brent" at right. Flick and a Star: Revealing Brent Corrigan
03.22.07

Though the scenes he filmed for Cobra Video while still a minor rocked the adult entertainment industry by storm, porn star Brent Corrigan says the two shoots the company spread out over five films weren't worthy of the Traci Lords style scandal that followed. Now, with a video for Falcon, mainstream films and a wildly successful Web site under his belt, Brent's career should be soaring. So why is the wildly intelligent 20-year-old still struggling to put the pieces together?

We sat down with Brent to talk about the ups and down of his career over the past few years: His words, his story!

You did a fair amount of work before you turned 18, which caused quite a bit of controversy in the industry. Was it tough for you to be taken seriously as a performer once you turned 18?

Most of the interviews I’ve done in the past have loosely hinged on the interest that I did adult work as a minor. I would like to put things perspective a little.

When I did the work underage, it was two shoots within one month of each other, for one studio. The content filmed from those two shoots was spread over four DVD releases. My work as a minor was short lived considering it only took me two shoots to realize the severity of the situation.

My decision to allow myself to be ushered into that line of work (underage) haunted me for nearly three years after the shoots. These days, although I’ve been through hell and one lawsuit regarding it, I feel that the hard times in our lives strengthen us, humble us, and teach us. At the end of the day, we can endure a lot more than we think we can. At some point, this might come back to bite me in the ass, but... I’ve never much worried about what others thought of me. I do my thing and am who I am, and if I’m lucky I’ll get a few loyal followers out of being genuine. I’ve spent the last year or more working with and for my own production studio, so finding work and being taken seriously by others in the industry has never really been a concern of mine.

After all of the well documented things you went through while working as a minor in this business, what made you decide to continue your career?

First of all, the truth about my situation with Cobra was hardly well documented in an accurate nature. However, with the settlement we all have decided to allow the past be the past and look to the future. My reasons for continuing in the industry are fairly varied. A little over two years ago, thanks to Grant (my boyfriend of two years), I finally started noticing my potential and popularity. How and why I got started doing my company is closely related to my legal battle we just settled. I can’t specifically talk about that.

However, I can say that at one point, after feeling taken advantage of, and not being allowed the venue to nurture all my potential and personality, it became apparent that the only way I was going to get what I wanted was to do it all myself. I felt that if I had the drive, determination, creative persona, and all the assets I should be the first one to use those as I see fit. Since that wasn’t necessarily the case when I started working as part owner in LSG Media (my parent company), I felt it was at least my turn to use what others had. I also felt like I had been through too much to just turn around and walk away with nothing. Although now, I’m still fighting for all my hard work, at least I’m getting closer to what is rightfully mine.

Not only have you continued in front of the camera, you’re producing. Does all the work get tiring?

The term producer for me is very general. I produce porn. To me this means everything from filming, to art direction, to handling the models. When I’m filming, I put everything into it. We do a lot of the filming out of home base. We’ve had plenty two week long shoots where my home is invaded by boys in multiples of two’s and four’s. On those shoots, it’s all about the boys. I do everything from feeding them, keeping them entertained, housing them and filming the intended work. Sometimes I feel more like a host than a producer.

Thankfully, one of my most important jobs is making sure everyone is enjoying himself and that they are happy and healthy. In doing so, I manage to have a little fun myself. The casual nature in which we shoot, yet the professional approach we have in dealing with our models, allows us a very dynamic arrangement. Is it tiring? Hell yes! But it’s a satisfying feeling because we get the job done and manage a good time in the interim. Not to mention I really feel great at the end of the day knowing I’m doing right by my models. If I go to the top, I intend to drag the ones that stick by me all the way there with me.

In addition to adult videos, I know you’ve done some mainstream stuff. Is acting a passion for you?

A passion? I’m not quite sure if that’s the word for it... An interest, yes. Recently I filmed a pilot for Ryan J. Davis and Eric Svejcar called Didn’t This Used to be Fun? It was a rock musical short they are using to shop around to potential investors for the full length feature. They’ve asked me to come back for the final, full production project. I’ve also worked on Jody Wheeler’s Tell Me which is a gay themed sci-fi short. That will do the film festival circuit. As far as acting goes, I’ve just been picking up what comes my way. If I could find an able agent who could find things that might work well with what I already do (gay related, erotic art projects) then I think I could really get into it. At this time, it’s not a major focus of mine. I’m definitely interested in seeing more of what’s out there. I’m just not going to break my neck trying to do it. I’ve got this terrible fear of feeling inadequate and I’m a little concerned that by pursuing some serious acting work I would have to face that fear more often.

Tell us about BrentCorriganOnline.com. What’s the general goal behind the Web site?

BrentCorriganOnline.com is under some serious threat right now. We managed to settle my lawsuit (which was keeping us from collecting from our billing company) but now we are dealing with unrest within the company. My majority stock holder and chairman, Lee Bergeron, has refused to have a legally binding operating agreement written up for our limited liability corporation. This has left all specifics about who makes what decisions, the allocation of assets, and who gets paid completely left up to him by default (because of his position as majority stock holder) I’ve filmed twenty-plus scenes for my company, for which I am 30% owner of. However, I have not been paid a dime nor seen a penny toward all of my promotional efforts and the lent use of my image and name to promote the company.

What’s worse is, he removed my boyfriend of two years, who has coveted me, my involvement in the company, and nurtured the company along side me the entire time this past year, from his position as President of LSG Media (the parent company of BrentCorriganOnline.com). Although you can, to this date, sign up to see me in action on my Web site, I have not accomplished what I originally set out to do.

Originally, I started involvement in a company for which I was part owner in so that I might staple in some guarantee that I might have something to show for continued adult work in the industry. Right now I refuse to promote the re-opening of the Member’s Site for fear that if I continue to promote something I have no control over, it may come back and hurt me. BrentCorriganOnline.com and RealBoysOnline.com are our projects, despite my feelings about my chairman.

Grant and I want to take pride in producing wholesome adult work where no one is degraded, embarrassed, or exploited. We pay attention to good pairing and we only produce condom work. Because I’m also a model, and I’ve experienced my share of bad producers, I want my boys to know they are taken care of and safe. It’s my prerogative to be sure that they enjoy themselves when they come out because I know many of them come to do the adult work for the experience and good time.

Most importantly we promote a healthy, fun, sexually charged product that exhibits boys at their best: standing tall, hard and proud. Now, if I could just convince my chairman that by taking our company to big corporations like Marina Pacific and subjecting our Web site to developers that have done other mega porn sites we’re cutting out most what makes us so popular: that yes, indeed, Brent Corrigan is the youngest, most eager, most determined and creative young porn producer in the industry. We’ve gotten this far without the help of others and we can go even further and do even more.

Unfortunately, it’s going to take some more time because I’m not going to let haste determine my business decisions. Part of the problem is the chairman is so far out of reach with what we do and what the fans want. If he could only understand the army of interest and why I appeal to such a wide audience then we could more easily move forward.

As a writer, I have to say, you’re a pretty damn good blogger. What makes you blog so faithfully on your site?

As far as blogs go, I’m not all that bad. I like to write how I might speak. I’m a big advocate for voice, which is why sometimes I don’t worry myself with perfect grammar and word usage. My loyalty to the blog stems primarily from my fans. My website is ranked in the 70,000’s out of 100 million websites worldwide just because of my blog. I’ve got an army behind me and I intend to use it only for good.

Originally, I started the blog to provide the ultimate source of information and news about Brent Corrigan. I don’t pay attention to the rumors or lies, but I can tell you that if you didn’t read it on my blog, it’s probably false. Also, my blog allows me a chance to touch the people who are fascinated with me, or just want to get to know me. I think it’s a shame that people in the entertainment industry are so out of touch with the people who matter most to them: their followers. I try my best to connect with them there. I can’t always get around to fan mail, which is truly a shame. I can only hope that the blog makes up for some of that.

The blog is also accompanied by some pretty racy photos, many of which I see you take yourself. What was the idea behind that?

Our whole angle with the website and what I do there is the reality of it all. We don’t feel the need to camp up things, construe images, or manipulate the look of our boys. We take them as they come. We try our best to enhance them and bring out their max potential. The photos on my blog are a mix of pro shots and amateur shots.

Grant, my boyfriend, takes many of the ones you see there. Dylan Glockler has done most of the pro shots (he’s local out of San Diego, look him up and tell him I sent you!). I have fun with the camera in the mirror sometimes. The whole point is to keep things interesting. I want to look great, but on the other hand, I want people to know I’m normal and that I don’t always look flawless like I do in the pro shots. In the long run, they see the truth (which isn’t something most places provide an opportunity to see) in me.

Is there ever a point when you see yourself getting out of adult entertainment altogether?

I have no plans of staying in the adult business forever. I’m already annoyed with the crappy politics of this industry and just how hypocritical everyone is. Then again, it’s like this anywhere, in any business. I’ll be ready to go when I accomplish what I’ve set out to do. Until then, I’ll fight and fight. I’m a Scorpio, we’re stubborn, determined sexual gods and I intend to make the most of what I’ve been given.

What do you have coming up?

I don’t have any major plans coming up. If I had it my way, the chairman of LSG Media would come to the table and work out the necessary contracts that will allow us to legally run a proper company. In doing so, I’d spend the next year showing everyone my creative, imaginative ideas I want to apply to eroticism. But, in the mean time, I’m open to a few mainstream projects, be it acting or otherwise. I’m probably going to take some guitar lessons and exercise my baritone voice. Just purely for the fun of it. I need more musical therapy in my life. Also, I’m at Donkey Punch at Rich’s in San Diego the second Saturday of every month if anyone would like a chance to see me in action on stage.

As a final note, I encourage everyone to swing by my blog for a little read. I’m still trying to figure out what’s so great about it myself because really all I’m doing is my thing. No gimmicks, no smoke and mirrors, just Brent Corrigan. But I truly invite you to draw your own conclusions! Until next time, I’ll see you at BrentCorriganOnline.com!

Brent Today

Just in case you’re curious . . . these are from ME today. I took these myself. I’m really sorry I’m not more inspired today than this. I’ve got a ton of ideas but execution of these ideas seems to be the real problem these days . . .

If you’re tired of the lack of change up on the blog, then e-mail our “webmaster” at Jeremy@BrentCorriganOnline.com And, I implore you to take a minute to make an e-mail. Maybe you can prevoke change more easily than I might be able to.

I’m sure he’ll be able to relay your concerns more effectively to the powers that be (than I might be able to).

Until then, enjoy the name and the image of Brent Corrigan because clearly that means more to this company than the actual substance.

With Only Love and Respect to All of You,
Brent Corrigan

Brent, Brent, Brent.

I’d like to give you some advice.

Cut ties with all these idiots and take charge of what is yours.

You don’t need “Brent Corrigan” and everyone who works on HIS
behalf…you need to be in charge of your ideas instead of depending on
other people to see them to completion. If your webmaster isn’t doing his
job, get another one. If your “company” isn’t working, take charge and
fix it! I run a very successful business now, but I had to make some very drastic changes to get here. I was alot like you my friend. When it comes to your ideas, your business, your income,
your creativity, your stamina, your plans, your dreams you can’t depend
on others to make it happen for you. You MUST learn to let go of the
victim attitude. I’ve seen evidence of this attitude countless
times in your writing, you don’t ever want too much sympathy or empathy
from your target market, that do more to push them away than draw them in.

If you want to put pressure on your web-master, make it sound like a team effort, not a plea for help. Instead of, “please e-mail this guy…he won’t listen to me” try, “I need you guys to help me make some changes, send and e-mail to:” When you create a team it’s always more effective than putting the whole burden on your fans to sort out. I know you’re most likely not even going to read this, but it’s so entertaining to watch you trying to figure out where you’re going with your life. You’re going to be as big as you want to be as soon as you’re ready and willing to take charge of what’s yours. Don’t focus on the people holding you back, focus on getting out of their grip and your life will be yours. You’re never going to get there if you don’t have the guts to make the decision.

Hey Everyone!

I figured I’d drop by and just say hello for a minute . . . maybe answer some of your comments.

The hair is new from about a little more than 2 weeks now. When I first got it cut, it was disappointedly too short. It’s growing out nicely though and I don’t have any intentions of keeping it short. I’m glad some of you like it! But don’t stress, it’s just something to mix up the look a little. I don’t see this as a permanent fixture. So if you don’t like it as much, you don’t have a whole lot to worry about.

I’m really glad to know some of you can see the importance in this simple little blog post. The fact that there are so few words here doesn’t mean there isn’t a big message here. I’m pleased to see some of you are picking up on that. I’m proud to know I have friends, fans, and viewers who understand the importance of my involvement here, and my happiness in doing so.

You see, it’s a very simple concept. When I’m happy, I work well. I’m creative. The ideas flow. The interest catches on more strongly. I’m a more captivating person. When I’m not happy, when I’m upset, or when I’m stressed and unsure, all those great qualities are lost behind such feelings.

Some of you are right! “Quit playing the victim, Brent!” I’m trying everything to stay on, stay focused, and show that I’m committed here. But, at some point, if I don’t get some commitment from others, I can’t see a reason to continue involvement here. If I’m a victim at all in this scenario, it’s simply that I trusted in business when I should have contracted in business.

I’m excited because, as I’ve wanted to before, I’m ready to begin dispersing my eggs into other baskets. I’m picking up some promo work here in San Diego, I might involve myself with some pride events, and I’m looking at filming another short film with Jody Wheeler.

I just really want to let all of you know I’m proud to have you here on the blog. I know you are all here for your own reasons and I hope I’m managing to feed your Brent Corrigan appetite, no matter what sort of Brent Corrigan diet you might have. If your Brent Corrigan diet mostly consists of my adult work, then once again I apologize for not being able to deliver the things I want and should deliver. I know it’s been a long wait but I’m hoping it hasn’t been too excruciating.

The Member’s Only Site is up and open for business! Yes, you currently can subscribe. My one fear at this moment is that it’s not up to my standard and I’m concerned about how much I will be allowed to be involved in the refinement of new material. These things are out of my control at the moment. What I can guarantee you is that if and when I get a little more slack, you will not be disappointed. Until then, I’m afraid I can’t take too much credit with what comes along in the very near future.

But! What’s already there on the Member’s Only site is just the foundation of a vision Grant and I are both diligently worked and are working toward. If we get a chance, we’ll take it further. Admittedly, we’re very amateur. We’re learning a lot as we go, as I mentioned before. But all the substance is there, and we both feel like, should we be allowed to continue as we were, we have a very fun, real product to bring to all of you and we don’t aim to disappoint!

Ok, enough of the shameless website promotion. I’m cooking up a new ASK BRENT article. I’ve got some fun ideas for posts but because I’m feeling a little creatively crippled, my execution on these is slow coming. So, please, do me a favor and help me cure my creatively crippled position and e-mail my webmaster.

I want to continue doing polls, I want to add galleries and new banners, I want to add an online store. I would like to change the header photo on the top of the blog. I can’t do these things myself because I don’t have access to the back end of the website. The webmaster “Jeremy” has to do it. He’ll probably take note of these possible changes if you all point out to him that the place is getting a little stagnant. I can’t seem to make that message clear to anyone who can make changes . . . Make these requests to Jeremy and have him e-mail me when he’s ready. Again, you can e-mail him here: Jeremy

Brent,
Seems like there are some serious missing pieces to why they have taken
away your creative involvement and censored you. An assumption would be
that they are of the mindset to get what they can now out of your fan$.
Without us really knowing who is behind your posts and their content
we are left not knowing the full story. The website is at best lackluster
and dated…just look at the tour/preview part, its pathetic. Its not
just a shame that this has happened but the timing and way you must feel
being taken advantage of while working hard to defend and get the rights
to “Brent Corrigan” and settle the past. Now with the Falcon release of
Velvet Mafia, your fan base should expand greatly. Seems so narrow
minded of the business partner not to be behind you. Short term gain but in
the long run I think Sean will be the eventual winner in this. You can
produce and release via the internet a new site and your material. Your
fans like the short films and amateur stuff you come up with. If you
need a publicist or public relations manager…hmmm well I have always
wanted to do that, lol. Seriously though I think if you are not already
working on a book, maybe now is the time to look into that. It will sell
and it will be your story and your control. I can just see you signing
books at the AVN awards in Vegas or a tour of clubs in the US and checking
out all the talent nationwide. Don’t underestimate yourself and don’t
sell out just to have peace with what appears now to be a pimp of a
partner.
Your a STAR,
Dan
BTW Your hair can be any length…I think it looks good at Donkey Punch.
Also, I am heading to Vegas (Palms) for a few days to get away…any
opinion of KRAVE?

Brent Corrigan puts the LAY in delay (version 2.0)

Brent Corrigan puts the LAY in delay (version 2.0)

If you didn’t notice already, I originally posted this. Then, I took it down because of the detailed information it included about my dilemma with my business partner and majority stock holder of the company. I posted it back up after running back through it to make sure the information was accurate and not slanted; especially not entirely negative. After drawing the conclusion it was fine, Grant reposted it the morning after I took it down. Then, my business partner locked Grant and I out of the blog and removed it. Below is the “edited” or censored version of the original post. I self censored… ur,.. uh… I mean “edited” it, so hopefully this one will fly! We shall see? . . .

EDITED VERSION… PLEASE READ ON!

After a few days of slur, I bet y’all are ready for a little substance. I use that word substance loosely of course.

Alright, I guess I’ll give it my best shot. At the very least, you’ll get a semi interesting rant out of it ;-)

So, what the hell has Brent Corrigan been up to?

And what the hell is the deal with that damn Member’s Only Site?

Do you really wanna know? I mean do you really want to be further versed in the misfortune and sorted issues of an ill-fated porn star/porn producer hopeful?

I suppose you should read on if you do. If not, just sit back and enjoy a nice little chuckle over the new photos I posted with this entry. Yes, I got a little bold with these ;-)

Basically, because of delays I’ve been slowly finding other ways to spend my time. Delays! Ha! I’ve spent more time typing that word than the word COCK and this is a porno driven blog!

For a long time I didn’t get out much. I spent most of my 19th year working hard to develop things here at the company. Even with the legal proceedings and being a new company, it seems like it has taken forever. Then again, I’m very new to business and I’ve been trying hard not to get burned while I continue to maintain some sort of stake in all this. How am I doing?! Not so good I think . . .

Despite that, I’ve been getting out more and spending more time making new friends and flexing my social muscle.

I was somewhat reclusive before but recently I’ve been developing a nice little social circle around me. Things seem to be working out nicely and I’m enjoying myself without letting anything or anyone get the best of me.

I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but I also started painting a little. Unfortunately, I’m also starting to develop this pathetic pattern of trying things briefly and then just losing interest. I wonder if I’ve always been this fickle.

So I painted one project and I haven’t touched the brush since. It’s been about a month or more. Before when I painted, I didn’t even finish my work. That was back when things started to get really hairy with the recently settled legal dispute. I thought painting would be a nice stress outlet because it required creative exertion. I have always felt some sort of release of expression when working with a creative outlet.

So, by being fickle I mean . . . I started painting twice, but lost interest easily. I’ve tried to meditate on a regular basis but can’t seem to bring myself to do it anymore. I started ASK BRENT because I was being asked advice by a general audience and I had always admired advice columnists . . . it’s been forever since I’ve touched that.

The list could go on. However, I’m afraid if I go any further I’ll lose my train of thought just as I have managed to do at least a few times already in this blog post ;-)

One thing that appears to be really working out nicely is Donkey Punch! Oh! I know you guys are so tired of hearing me talk about it.

I’m really beginning to enjoy myself there. It gives me a chance to work with people I like, plus it’s not a very REGULAR commitment. It’s great exercise and I get to perform and be around people who want to be around me, and it’s proving to be quite a creatively stimulating environment. Wow, who would have thought one might get so much out of performing one night a month at a night club?!

The pictures above in my ruffled shirt are from my good friend Paco’s birthday party. Those are from around the time that I took the “normal Brent” photos. That was before I went even further with the haircut . . .

The pictures of Rocket and me on stage are from Saturday night’s Donkey Punch. The theme was the Ide’s of March. After Dylan reformats this video file I will post a link to it. The video is a fast-forward, replayed version of erecting the set and stage for The Ides of March. I’m going to hold on to some of these Donkey Punch pictures for the next one a month away. Unless there is some scheduling conflict I am unaware of at this time, the next Donkey Punch will be April 14, 2007. The second Saturday of every month.

I’ll try my best to keep you guys posted on any details with that. If you haven’t noticed already, not only have I become fickle but even a little random and unreliable.

I hope y’all like the new photos. After cutting my hair this short I was very quickly reminded why I stopped wearing it like this to begin with. I know I look pretty young already as it is, but with my hair short . . . well I’ll let you all fill in that blank.

Do you think I’ll sell more looking younger? I thought I heard somewhere some asshole grumbling about me looking old. Haha, don’t worry that’s not why I cut my hair.

In other important news . . . (a hint of sarcasm in that one ;-) ) . . .

I haven’t yet addressed the situation with the Member’s Only site. I’ve been very reluctant about promoting the website for a few reasons. One of the main reasons is because of all of you: the viewers.

I’ve been a little bit worried that things aren’t quite ready for a wide audience. At the time when we originally lost billing capabilities, we were only available for purchase for 2.5 days. Those were two-point five very successful days, nonetheless. But! When we originally launched back in October, we did so somewhat haphazardly. If any of you remember at all (or if any of you pay THAT close attention to the blog) then you might remember we launched delayed and later than planned (big surprise there girls and boys!). We went live on a small scale so if there were kinks we could work them out before we went live on the grand scale. Not to mention, at the time we were still refining content to post to the website. We also still had more shooting to do. Plus, shortly after our ‘failed launch’ we went head long into settlement negotiations with the Cobra Video about that lawsuit. Hence, why around November few, if any, posts I wrote included anything about Cobra Video AT ALL. Of course, during negotiations I was held from publicly discussing the progress or even mere idea of the settlement. This of course, aided to the surprise that yes indeed, we had settled the lawsuit.

So, to summarize the point I was trying to make: the website isn’t as shiny as it needs to be. I mean ‘needs to be’ in the context that it NEEDS TO BE THIS WAY for Grant and I to feel confident. Confident? Yes, confident that what we’re bringing all of you is something we’re comfortable asking you to pay for.

Unfortunately, it has become clear that Grant’s and my ideas are not consistent with the plans of our business partner.

I had a long explanation as to why things are continually delayed and not shaping up as nicely or quickly as they should be. However, after being locked out of the blog for posting such a revealing blog post, I opted obviously to edit out some of the important details originally here.

But, I will go on to say that if there is at least ONE thing I’ve learned from my lawsuit and settlement with Cobra Video about civil law and business, it’s that in the long run, it’s best to come together and determine jointly the best way to resolve the issues at hand. Because eventually, a lawsuit usually leads to a settlement. I’m not quite sure all parties involved want or know independently what is best for this company and what we want to accomplish. Hell! I think part of the major problem is that all parties involved all have their own separate agenda and motives. Me: I want bring a fun, realistic, creative edge to the erotic world and I want to do it well. Grant wants to show other porn studios out there that adult work can be produced without crushing models and damaging them. We have to want to do more than just MAKE MONEY. If your one pursuit in business is JUST to make money, success doesn’t necessarily come with it. It’s my feeling that success is more apt to come to a company that sets out to produce something of quality: something of a “cutting edge” in design and content that no one else can offer or IS offering!

Look. I don’t need advice. I just wanted all of you to understand. An explanation; even if it isn’t as complete as I might want it to be. Grant and I want to move forward and do things as planned. Unfortunately things have occurred that makes that very difficult to do. I’m hopeful that we all can diplomatically agree that certain things need to occur in our company that will legally define parameters.
Dewayne here I have had a request to post the edited version (which proved just as unacceptable to Lee Bergeron). This post had some comments which I include at the end. I elected not to repost the pictures see the original post BELOW.

I hate to be all faggy… but God is your outfit in the top so amazing looking. I wish to God I could pull off stuff like that and make it look as good as you do.

But as for the rest… do what you have to do. You keep delaying and postponing for some right reasons it seems. Ignoring the legal crap that always just gets in the way, whenever you create something… it reflects the creator… and you want to be proud of what you do. You shouldn’t ever have to feel forced to put forth something you aren’t satisfied with.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you can accomplish what you want how you want it.

Hi Brent,

While it’s unfortunate that you can’t be as candid and truthful as you’d like to be on your own blog (did you and business partner sign some confidentiality agreement about your business plan?), maybe your original post has caused your business partner to see your point of view and will now work toward a mutually satisfactory plan of action.

March 15th, 2007 at 4:57 pm

Brent,

I wish you the best in your pursuits and struggles.

I encourage you not to blame yourself for being fickle about your endeavors and seemingly jumping from one interest to another. For one thing, you are young, and it is actually appropriate to do this sort of thing, to try to figure out your life goals and priorities by trying and learning. How else will you learn about your strengths and weaknesses, your interests and annoyances?

Also, please keep in mind that many creative people, especially the extroverted ones, have short attention spans. Some creative people are able to focus and work diligently on one thing for a very long time. These are the types who write novels, paint frescos on the ceilings of churches, and compose operas and symphonies. Other creative people are better at coming up with an idea than at the execution of an idea. These people are more likely to be performers or creators of speedier art forms like poetry, songwriting, or commercial art. Many stand up comics have your “fickle” behavior, bouncing from one idea to the next, like Robin Williams’ high speed ricochets, Ellen DeGeneres’ gentle ramblings, or Eddie Izzard’s improvised examinations of the hilarity of anything from how the Heimlich Maneuver came to be to the Ottoman Empire. Jazz musicians will improvise and riff; doing the same thing over and over bores them.

Respect your creativity and your energetic forays into what interests you at the moment. You are in fact building a diverse range of experiences you can draw from later. Maybe one day in the future you have a project that requires hiring a painter. You will now be able to communicate with her or him and work together to meet the objectives because you have a little understanding of the process.

I encourage you to get a Bachelor’s degree using whatever arrangement (night school, online studies, traditional college attendance, etc.) is feasible for you. You are a bright and inquisitive person, and it seems like your mind craves stimulation. I have a suspicion that you would enjoy school, that you would really delight in soaking up knowledge and learning how to analyze complex ideas. It may take you 4 years, or it may take 8, but you will be well-served by having a degree. A business degree, especially one in management or marketing, would be very useful, but majoring in drama, journalism, advertising, photography, or psychology would also be great.

And you would be judged on what your brain can do, not by what you look like naked. Hopefully, your current business ventures will give you the money to pursue a good education, or that financial aide and scholarships will be available.

Many performers have been treated as commodities and cash machines, both mainstream and adult. Greedy people have controlled the careers and lives of everyone from Justin Timberlake and Mariah Carey to Traci Lords and Rosie O’Donnell, and some of these people have succeeded in taking back their identities, breaking away from mercenary managers (and even greedy, immature parents!), and establishing their public images on their own terms. I hope you can join them, whether your career is in porn or something else.

Sorry this is so long. I hope you are able to endure the drama that keeps unfolding, and that you keep your wits about you and take care of yourself above all others.

Kane

How did you manage to log back into your account and repost this (edited version)? Did you need to get this pre-approved by your business partner before posting? I also wonder how much freedom you’ll have with content from hereon given what seems to be conflicting interests with the third party to your business — if he’s the majority stockholder and also has the power to deny you access to the website, he’s got a lot of control (it seems). In any case, good luck in negotiating a comparable situation for all involved — no easy feat.

I love freedom of expression! Well, okay, so maybe it’s not free… but at least it’s cheap, no?

I don’t think you said anything cruel or slanderous about your partner in the original post; you’ve disagreed - big deal! Everyone disagrees about the business of making money. Though I don’t think you’ll have any problems with this recent post; it’s a lot less… hmmm… spontaneous? ;)

On a shallow note, the eyeliner is the sexiest thing in the world, but I wish you’d taken it further. I like the idea of you pushing these silly gender taboos. With your bone structure and physique, I doubt you could do anything to make yourself look anything but masculine, and that’s what makes the idea so appealing, maybe. (And by the way, if it sounded like there was a dare in there… well).

Oh, and good work on wearing as little as possible to the DP! To top it next year, you’ll have to whip out the Invisible Toga. Yay!

First off, I do like your hair longer, but as Ken says above, you look great no matter what.
Second, is your majority stockholder open to being bought out? I know that’s probably a lot of money, but maybe a coalition could be put together. You may be thinking: I might be trading the devil I know for an even worse situation. If so, good, because you need to be cautious! However, it seems to me that, from a business perspective, you need to get the Members Only area back and running. Sure, it would be best to get reconciled with your majority stockholder if possible. Best of luck to a very talented guy!

Hi Brent!

Hope you are well. My God the “gay blogs” are filled with spin and crap. I don’t read them that often, but I just ventured on to a few while I was bored at work, and got an eye full. I thought “spin” was only found on FOX News, but I guess not!

I wish people who have no connection to you, have never spoken with you, or gotten to know you would take a step back from their own judgmental narrow mindedness, and learn to be more respectful of you. You’ve been through a lot, and none of us have walked in your shoes to interpret, understand or explain.

I’d be a liar if I didn’t tell you that I miss your individual emails, but I know how busy you are, and that I should just shut up and feel happy to be able to read about what’s going on via this blog.

Anyhow, this is just my attempt to echo my love, support, and well wishes!

Still a Personal blog is just that PERSONAL and if you find living under restraint too intolerable then you need to do 2 things. 1.Move on,call it quits, start the next chapter in your book,,I mean life ;) 2.If you still feel the need to get YOUR personal views out to your fans & friends then start a personal blog under your control(not hard you can have one up at Blogger or Blogspot in an afternoon). Of course for the Boy whose LIFE has been an open book to be ANALYZED & DISCUSSED by a frequently VENAL gay community the last 17 months. Well if you decide to take a pass and say Fuck it! Hell you are more than entitled! Just remember Brent and I said this some time ago,,If you do withdraw, walk away even if you should join a Monastery ;) I will always be a fan & friend just can you drop me a postcard or an email every year or so, cause I would always be interested in what you were up to ,even if its just contemplating your sexy navel! Take care Brent,,,Dewayne

You could always sign up for an acting class in Los Angeles and then try to take up acting roles and join the Screen Actor’s Guild. My friend did that in L.A. and now he has been getting work for years. His pay keeps getting larger with more speaking roles in films.

Seems like the steam has been vented. I’m hoping. ;) Calm the ocean, find your center. Looking forward to the next post and not the reincarnation of this one. I guess that’s sweat on your stomach. The one with the red thong. But I can dream! Good luck.

Hmmmm, some “partnership” you have there! After the first version was taken down and the second appeared, I thought, “OK, maybe he stepped on some toes.” Then v 2.0 was removed and I thought, “This is a bit much.” So hopefully the third time’s a charm.

I like all the pics, esp. the last one where you finally show your gorgeous smile! Hope to see more of it!

Brent-

You’re goddamn sexy regardless of if your hair is long or short (but I like it a bit longer)!

Really, really glad to hear you are still shooting models- it means that we for real will get more Brent Corrigan in the future!

P.S. Still no autographed picture from the donation? I guess I donated after the “limited supplies” ran out :(

I was grateful to be able to read versions 1 and 2!
I look forward to the members site getting up and running and hope that the outstanding problems are resolved.

Was that diplomatic enough?

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Unfortunately, it has become painfully clear that Grant’s and my idea of shiny is not consistent with that of our business partner (the majority stockholder of our company).

To paint a clearer picture, I have blogged here on the website in a decently faithful manner. Not as regularly as some of you might have hoped. But, after 16 months of blogging ( November 2005 was my first month blogging!) I’m still here. I have filmed in or around 20+ action scenes for this company I own a small percentage of. I have lent my name, my face, my personality and just about everything I HAVE for continued promotional appeal to the general adult public (from a worldwide market no doubt).

The list does go on. But what I would like all of you to know, what I would like all of you to stand testament to, is that I have not, at this time, been issued one meager payment for any of my work here. This baring of course, the generous donations all of you so very thoughtfully sent my way after the ‘failed’ initial launch. One more reason, please note, for why it is so important that what I bring to all of you in my work is of the greatest quality. My loyal fans and followers opened their pocket books (when my business partner would not) so that I could continue to remain blogging here, so that I might remain working so diligently on everything.

For months I worked faithfully with the understanding and agreement that (and majority stock holder) would pay me retroactively starting from about the 3rd month into work. It was understood that I would also, of course, be paid retroactively for all the scenes I filmed for this company. To this date, my business partner (and majority stock holder) refuses to, in e-mail or written form (or even verbally!) acknowledge that I have not been paid.

The real matter here isn’t about payment at all! It’s that the majority stockholder will not agreeably come together with Grant and I to formally and legally draw up a corporate Operating Agreement. At this time, there is no definition of individual duties or decision making principles within the company. We have an LOI (Letter of Intent) that specifically protects the majority stockholder but it does not protect Grant or my interest and hard work and effort.

Further documents were not obtained because at the time of signing the LOI, Grant and I were working half our time on the lawsuit with Cobra Video and the remainder shooting content so we could begin doing business. At THAT time, Grant and I were more concerned with our legal standing with Cobra Video than our own company. I will not go further into reasons for those feelings because I feel I’ve been quite detailed enough.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
One last point I would like to make on the LOI and the Operating Agreement. After settling with Cobra, Grant and I immediately turned our attention to the creation of the corporate documents. Immediately our business partner refused to begin drawing up these documents, as per earlier documents require of him.

So, again to summarize:
1) The website is not up to our standards. (“our” being Grant and I, the visionaries of this website and what we are trying to do here)
2) Grant and I do not want to continue to work as indentured servants for a company (or a man rather) who refuses to give us the same sort of assurances we gave It (him).
3) At this time, the majority stockholder will not hire a webmaster with who will work side by side with Grant and me.
4) So far, there have been no guarantees that future monetary gains from this website will be fed back into production for new content to add later, or even to pay us for that matter.

So, if you’ve signed up for the Member’s Only site, and noticed there hasn’t been anything new added, you may understand now at this time. Furthermore, Grant and I don’t have the attention of a knowledgeable webmaster who can execute our ideas and needs. We have plenty local candidates but Grant’s recent removal (by majority stockholder) as President of the company has left us powerless to make decisions based on hiring, etc;
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
If there is at least ONE thing I’ve learned from my lawsuit and settlement with Cobra Video about civil law and business, it’s that in the long run, it’s best to come together and determine jointly the best way to resolve the issues at hand. The majority stockholder. . . we feel hasn’t always been up front about his motives. However, I think it’s pretty clear that he really just wants to make his money. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, if your one pursuit in business is to make money, success doesn’t necessarily come with it. It’s my feeling that success is more apt to come to a company that sets out to produce something of quality: something of a “cutting edge” in design and content that no one else can offer or IS offering!

My question is simply that: At which point did the majority stockholder get the idea that Grant and I together could not successfully develop this website and vision without dictation? Last time I checked, despite all the legal roadblocks and setbacks we have encountered along the way, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED!

Look. I don’t need advice. I just wanted all of you to understand. An explanation. Because I sure as hell know you’re not getting it anywhere else. Grant and I want to move forward and do things as planned. Very sadly, things have occurred that makes that very difficult to do. I’m hopeful that we all can diplomatically agree that certain things need to occur in our company that will legally define parameters. Without those, I can see a much ‘delayed’ future for this website. Dewayne here Brent posted this blog late Monday March 12,2007 it was taken down then reposted. At 5:00 p.m. On Tuesday The Brent Corrigan Blog was taken over by Lee Bergeron and Brent and Grant were locked out of the blog.
